Thank you for visiting this Terms & Conditions ("Terms") page of Sri Lanka Dance Festival™ ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms govern your use of our website www.srilankadancefestival.com, participation in the festival and any ticket purchase or engagement with our associated platforms, services and events (collectively, "Services").
By clicking the "I Agree" button, completing a purchase, or accessing our Services in any manner, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access the Services or attend the festival.
1. Definitions
1.1. "User", "you", or "your" means any individual accessing the Site, purchasing a pass, or participating in the Festival.
1.2. "Services" refer to all digital tools, event registrations, ticket purchases, downloadable content and any information or service provided on this Site.
1.3. "Festival" refers to Paraíso SBK 2025, including pre-festival and post-festival events and any related workshops, bootcamps, performances, or social dancing.
2. Use of the Site
2.1. You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase tickets or engage in transactions on this Site. Minors may only attend the Festival under the supervision of a guardian and with prior written approval from the Company.
2.2. You confirm that the information you provide upon registration is accurate, current and complete. Misrepresentation may lead to cancellation of your registration or ticket without refund.
2.3. You agree not to use the Site or Services for any unlawful or unauthorised purpose, or in a way that may harm the Company, its partners, or other users.
2.4. The Company reserves the right to block access or revoke privileges for any user found to be in violation of these Terms.
2.5. Your attendance and conduct at the festival shall comply with these Terms, any additional rules published by the Company and the laws of Sri Lanka.
3. Passes and Entry
3.1. Each pass grants access only to the specific events, workshops and/or accommodations described at the time of purchase. Access to certain areas or sessions may be limited by your pass type.
3.2. You are responsible for securing your digital or physical ticket and any personal QR codes. Entry will be denied if your pass is invalid, duplicated, resold without authorization, or used by another individual.
3.3. International participants are responsible for obtaining necessary travel documentation including visas. The organizers are not liable for any issues arising from travel disruptions or visa rejections.
3.4. Beginner Passes are limited to participants with less than 60 days of formal experience in Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba, or Zouk. Entry using a Beginner Pass may be denied if you are deemed ineligible.
4. Conduct and Festival Rules
4.1. The Company expects all participants to maintain respectful, inclusive and professional behavior throughout the event.
4.2. Harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate conduct toward fellow participants, artists, volunteers, or staff will result in removal from the event without refund.
4.3. Alcohol consumption is allowed in designated areas. Illegal drug use or intoxicated behavior will not be tolerated and may result in legal action or immediate expulsion.
4.4. The Company reserves the right to deny entry, eject any individual, or cancel any pass at its sole discretion to maintain the safety and integrity of the festival.
5. Photography, Video and Media Consent
5.1. By attending the festival, you consent to being photographed or recorded by the Company or its authorized media partners.
5.2. These materials may be used in promotional or editorial content related to the event in print, online, or broadcast channels without additional notice or compensation.
5.3. Personal photography and video are permitted during public sessions, but professional camera equipment, drones, or live streaming without prior approval is prohibited.
6. Program Changes and Cancellations
6.1. The Company reserves the right to modify the lineup, artists, schedule, workshops, or venues due to unforeseen circumstances without liability or refund.
6.2. In the unlikely event of full cancellation of the festival, refund procedures will follow the terms outlined in the Payment & Refund Policy.
6.3. Travel, accommodation, and incidental expenses incurred by participants will not be reimbursed in any case, including partial or full festival cancellations.
7. Health, Safety & Liability
7.1. You participate in the event voluntarily and at your own risk. Dancing and physical activity carry a risk of injury and you are responsible for your own health, fitness and safety.
7.2. The Company shall not be held liable for any personal injury, property loss, theft, or damages that occur during the festival.
7.3. First aid and emergency services will be available onsite. Participants are encouraged to carry their own insurance or medical documentation where required.
8. Intellectual Property
8.1. All content, materials, logos and designs on the website or associated with the festival are the property of Sri Lanka Dance Festival™ or its respective partners, unless otherwise stated.
8.2. No part of the Services may be copied, reproduced, republished, uploaded, posted, or transmitted without prior written permission from the Company.
9. Promo Codes, Discounts & Offers
9.1. Promotional codes are limited in duration and quantity. They must be applied at the time of purchase and cannot be retroactively applied.
9.2. Misuse or unauthorized sharing of promo codes may lead to cancellation of affected passes without refund.
9.3. Discounted passes, including those issued through partners or communities, are not eligible for resale and may be verified at the time of check-in.
10. Force Majeure
10.1. The Company shall not be held liable for delays, interruptions, or cancellations caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, government regulations, pandemics, strikes, or acts of terrorism.
11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
11.1. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
11.2. Disputes shall be resolved first through good faith negotiation. If unresolved, they will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
